The user can import the complete list of tags from the PLC-Control programming tool.
In this way, the programmer does not have to program the tags twice but can import the tags defined in the PLC program into Crew.
Various import tools are available.
The user must select the Import icon and choose the control utility he uses.
EXCEL FILE:
ESA Tag database format on Excel sheet. To be used when the user wants to use Excel as a tag database editing environment. Once the tag database has been modified on an Excel sheet, it can be imported into Crew.
Siemens S7:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in Siemens STEP7. The formats required are ASC and STL.
Siemens TIA:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the Siemens TIA Portal. Supported formats are SCL, DB, XLSX
Control Logix:
Allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in Rockwell RSLogix. The supported formats are: CSV, L5X
Codesys:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in Codesys (valid for all devices with the Codesys based PLC runtime). Supported formats are .SYM and .XML
Twincat:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in Beckhoff Twincat. The supported format is the .TPY
Omron Fins - Hostlink - Sysmac Studio
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the various Omron development environments (CX-ONE, Sysmac Studio). The supported formats are: .CXR, .XLS, .XLSX
Header Softmotion:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the ESA programming package of the TSxxx series controllers. The supported format is the .H
Schneider:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the various Schneider Electric programming packages. The supported format is .SCY
Micrologix:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the Rockwell RSLogix package with the Micrologix series PLC. The supported format is the .CSV
Omron NJ Series:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the Omron CX-ONE package for PLC NJ. The communication driver used is Ethernet Ip with completely symbolic addressing.
SoMachine Symbolconfiguration:
It allows you to import the symbolic tag file defined in the Schneider SoMachine package for Schneider Codesys based devices. The addressing of the tags is symbolic.
Once the file to be imported has been addressed, Crew offers the user a window where you can select the tags you want to import and the communication driver that must be associated with the tags.
In addition, the operator can decide whether the tags in the project should be overwritten or duplicated.
A confirmation window also appears indicating how many tags have been successfully imported.
