USB dongle

Kreo HMI offers the option to have the development environment license on a USB dongle.
This allows the license to be moved from one PC to another.
The USB dongle is provided by ESA.

For example, a Kreo programmer who has a desktop PC in the office and a laptop for field commissioning can transfer the dongle to the laptop before performing work on-site.

If a valid Kreo USB dongle is inserted into the PC, the License Manager page will display a dedicated section at the bottom.

This section also includes buttons that allow you to register a new license on the dongle or check the connected dongles.

New license registration

Registration is required both to activate the license for the first time (valid for 365 days) and to renew the license for another 365 days. When the Register License button is pressed, a pop-up window appears where the user must enter the license code to be registered and select the dongle on which to perform the registration.

Once the registration process is complete, the new license will be displayed in the summary window.

Reload USB dongle

Pressing this button forces a refresh of the window showing information related to the connected USB stick.
