With Datalog we mean an object that is able to record the value of one or more variables within a buffer in order to have the historical trend of one or more quantities.
The datalog is the database which will then be displayed on the page in tabular form or with a graph.
It can also be exported in different ways in order to make the history available to external applications or databases.
