What an alarm is

Alarm means a signal that is automatically raised by the product when a specific event has occurred.

 

The alarm is triggered based on the comparison between the value of a Tag and a corresponding reference value.

 

The alarm is recorded both in the Active Alarm buffer (alarms that are present in a precise instant) and in the History Buffer (buffer that records all the events that have occurred over time).

The alarms can be divided into groups or according to different priorities.

 

The alarms can be ISA or Simple Events
