An encrypted and protected VPN tunnel can be created to each device defined in the domain.
The user can also create multiple VPNs working in parallel.
Below the procedure to be followed:
1- Click the VPN button to each edge device that will be the end point of the tunnel
The VPN button will become Orange and it means that the VPN has been reserved
2- Click on the VPN button on the toolbar; this command will start the connection.
The VPN background colour will become Green in case the procedure of creating the tunnell has been completed without any error.
Will become red in case of any error.
All the devices connected to the second ethernet port of the edge (for example the PLCs with Ip address 192.168.0.10 and 192.168.0.20 can be accessed).
Once the VPN tunnel is opened the user can ping the target edge and the devices connected to the local network.
All these devices can now be accessed via the application software.
For exmple the PLC programming tool or a simple browser in case the target device is equipped with an on board webserver.
